Fireproofing Cable Trays

Do fireproofing putty need to be used on fire cable trays

They must also be sealed with firestop compound, such as putty or intumescent wrap. 4) Use intumescent wrap materials to firestop cable trays. They are pliable at room temperature, but swell and harden to fill the opening when they are exposed to fire conditions. Route Planning and Layout Principles Coordinate with Building Structure: Cable tray routing should align with architectural design, avoiding unnecessary. FSPG Putty is a non setting silicone designed to remain flexible allowing for thermal and mechanical movement of services around complete and irregular shapes through wall and floor where fire resistance must be maintained in the event of a fire. Fire resistance tested in flexible walls, rigid. Scope: Firestopping for busway, cable trays, cables, and trunking passing through walls in enclosed electrical installations.
