Vehicle-mounted fiber optic corrugated duct fiber anti-tracking

Vehicle-mounted fiber optic corrugated ducts combine flexible HDPE construction with built-in inner ducts and anti-tracking polyethylene sheathing for safe, efficient, and durable cable deployment.

Structure and Materials

Corrugated optic ducts (COD) are typically made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), offering high flexibility and crush resistance, which allows them to be coiled on spools for vehicle-mounted deployment.

Many CO

D systems feature multiple built-in inner ducts (3–5) within a single outer duct, eliminating the need for separate inner duct installation and reducing labor and trenching requirements. The corrugated design reduces surface contact with the cable, lowering friction and protecting fibers from tensile stress during installation.

Anti-

Tracking Sheathing

To enhance safety and durability, these ducts often incorporate anti-tracking polyethylene sheathing, which is a blend of HDPE and low-density polyethylene (LDPE) with an anti-tracking agent. This material prevents electrolytic surface corrosion and allows the cable to operate reliably in high-voltage or harsh outdoor environments. Anti-tracking sheaths are particularly important for ADSS (All-Dielectric Self-Supporting) optical cables, which are exposed to electrical fields and environmental stress.

Installation BenefitsVehicle-mounted COD systems allow rapid deployment along roads, bridges, or urban areas without extensive trenching. The flexible, lightweight design enables long continuous lengths (up to 600 meters per reel depending on inner duct count), reducing installation time and traffic disruption. Pre-installed pull tapes and color-coded inner ducts further simplify cable insertion and maintenance.

Applications

These ducts are suitable for: Telecommunication backbone networksUrban and industrial underground cable deploymentDirect-buried or riser applicationsHigh-voltage or electrically sensitive environments requiring anti-tracking protection SummaryVehicle-mounted fiber optic corrugated ducts with anti-tracking sheathing provide a flexible, durable, and efficient solution for modern fiber optic infrastructure. Their combination of HDPE corrugated construction, built-in inner ducts, and anti-tracking polyethylene sheathing ensures mechanical protection, electrical safety, and rapid installation, making them ideal for both urban and industrial deployments.
